'fascination'

i d l y . o r g :: Sunsets.  "So I snap pictures of sunsets in the hope that by capturing that fading light, stretched toward orange by miles of atmosphere, the events of the day will be inexorably scratched into my memory. The hope, though often in vain, is that a single photo can contain the memories of the day, of events and people, that my mind can not."
