'Clicker beta' invites
If you're interested in exploring Clicker beta ("Guide To Internet Television"), 5 invites are available here (link will work for the first 5 people who use it).big stats, dumb headline
One billion a day turn to YouTubeYouTube now gets over a billion hits a day, according to a new video blog post by the founder of the website.
Impressive stats, but a billion hits is not the same as a billion visitors, silly!
interactive music video
Cold War Kids | 'I've Seen Enough' video | Explore, re-create, enjoy. (Flash)'informative and interesting'
History of the Internet – "an animated documentary explaining the inventions from time-sharing to filesharing, from Arpanet to Internet"requires player installation
Veetle – "Power of high quality video broadcasting to the people"Note: This is not an endorsement.
'free minds and free markets'
reason.tv – "Welcome to reason.tv, home of The Drew Carey Project and other great videos. Over the next few months we plan to bring you the latest, most compelling stories about freedom from all corners of the Internet, and we'll be experimenting with new interactive content and features." [pixelsurgeon]about culture...
tinyways – "This is not a blog. tinyways is about culture, and this is said because a wider term was not found. All of this is because music is not just music, a book is not just a book, a movie is not just a movie and a play is not just a play, but tinyways is just tiny, yet it does pretend to show a way."Evil Google? Looks like a duck.
New YouTube Interface for Embedded VideosOn the con side, you're also opening up your website to changes which you never specifically approved (other than all the general legal approvals you give a site by agreeing to their Terms of Service). If one day you decide that all the interface changes, or ads YouTube rolls out, are becoming too distracting for your visitors, the burden of replacing all embedded code and finding another host (if you kept your video files in the first place!) lies on you.
